I am currently an associate professor of political science in Auburn University at Montgomery’s Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Beginning in August 2024, I will join the Department of Political Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. My research and teaching interests largely center upon American law and courts, the separation of powers, state politics, and southern politics. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Political Behavior, Political Research Quarterly, the Journal of Law and Courts, and State Politics & Policy Quarterly. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo in 2011 and my Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2016. I regularly teach courses on judicial politics, constitutional law, southern politics, research design, and statistics. You can find my Google Scholar page here
